Precision Machining Turning, and Milling
We are proud to be partnered with Magnus Machine
Machining
We specialize in contract machining services tailored to meet the varied needs of our clients.
Our primary service offerings include advanced milling and turning operations designed to your specifications. We support rapid prototyping and low to mid-volume production machining, ensuring every project meets your exact requirements. With our complete turnkey services, you can expect certified materials and a variety of finishing options from our trusted subcontractors, alongside machining on customer-supplied materials.

Precision Machining, Turning and Milling
Our technicians bring years of expertise and knowledge to complete even the most challenging machining tasks. We have multiple machining centers that can handle aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, plastic, and other difficult materials. Our in-house machine shop can produce machined parts in both low and high volume quantities. The CNC machines are categorized under Vertical, Horizontal, and Rotating. These functions allow us to bore, tap, drill, turn, and mill just about anything with ease. In addition, we are also able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and tight tolerances for each piece that we produce.
- Precision Machining: This method is best for producing prototypes and metal parts with highly precise tolerances. The process of metal cutting involves removing material from a part until it has the required form and specification using a spinning wheel made of bonded abrasive particles. Precision machining is best used to create small metal parts and bigger parts with tighter tolerances, such as parts for scientific instruments, medical equipment, aircraft parts, and more.
- Precision CNC Milling – CNC milling of components allows for tolerances of up to +/-0.05mm while also maintaining crucial dimensions under +/-0.005mm. CNC milling is appropriate for short-run numbers of prototypes and pieces that are below 2.5″ OD.
- Precision CNC Turning – CNC turning makes accurate circular cuts into spinning materials using a single-point cutting tool. This automated method is perfect for producing circular or tubular forms as it offers excellent precision and a high level of reproducibility. The material is held in place and rotated by the CNC turning lathe as it is rapidly machined. CNC turning machines are better suited for short-run volumes of bigger items such as functional prototypes, bushing, shafts, fittings, manifolds, spacers, and other similar items.
Precision Milling Services
Our state-of-the-art CNC mills are equipped to handle sizes up to 30" x 20" x 20" and even larger. We focus on delivering high accuracy and can hold tight tolerances for consistent, high-quality products. Our milling services are perfect for creating complex geometries and achieving precise specifications.
Advanced Turning Services
Our modern CNC lathes are capable of turning parts up to 10" in diameter and 20" in length. We offer continuous feed capabilities for bar stock up to 2" in diameter, ensuring efficiency and speed in production while maintaining high standards of quality.
Comprehensive CMM Inspection
With our advanced Brown & Sharpe Global Status Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), we ensure rigorous measurement and inspection of your parts. Our reliable CMM inspection services allow us to verify dimensions for accuracy and compliance. We utilize both non-contact and contact inspection methods, catering to a variety of part features and ensuring thorough analysis.
CMM Capabilities
CMM inspection is a standard practice in precision machining shops; however, not all shops possess the necessary expertise and technology to deliver reliable third-party inspection services. Our CMM systems are designed to accurately measure part dimensions, ensuring precise location and adherence to specifications. Parts can be fixtured, flipped, or rotated, allowing us to inspect hard-to-reach dimensions efficiently.
Small components are particularly susceptible to damage or contamination, even from the probe of a contact CMM. In these cases, we utilize non-contact or vision CMMs, which provide accurate measurements using light-based technology. These systems offer the advantage of inspecting high volumes of flat parts in significantly less time than traditional contact CMMs. However, it’s important to note that vision inspection systems are limited to identifying visible features only, while internal or concealed features are best examined using contact CMM methods.
Advanced CAD/CAM Engineering Support
Our engineering team utilizes the latest CAD/CAM software for 3D solid modeling, enabling us to program CNC machines directly from your solid models or create new ones. This level of integration allows for seamless transitions from design to production, promoting efficiency and accuracy.
Reverse Engineering Services
If you have an existing part that needs reproduction, our reverse engineering service can provide you with detailed isometric drawings and 3D models. We analyze your part thoroughly to ensure every detail is captured accurately.
Expertise Across Industries
At Magnus Machine LLC, our experience spans a diverse range of industries. We can machine various materials including aluminum, brass, copper, steel, stainless steel, titanium, plastics, and more. Our commitment to quality workmanship ensures exceptional results in every project.
