Precision Machining, Turning and Milling
Our technicians bring years of expertise and knowledge to complete even the most challenging machining tasks. We have multiple machining centers that can handle aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, plastic, and other difficult materials. Our in-house machine shop can produce machined parts in both low and high volume quantities. The CNC machines are categorized under Vertical, Horizontal, and Rotating. These functions allow us to bore, tap, drill, turn, and mill just about anything with ease. In addition, we are also able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and tight tolerances for each piece that we produce.
- Precision Machining: This method is best for producing prototypes and metal parts with highly precise tolerances. The process of metal cutting involves removing material from a part until it has the required form and specification using a spinning wheel made of bonded abrasive particles. Precision machining is best used to create small metal parts and bigger parts with tighter tolerances, such as parts for scientific instruments, medical equipment, aircraft parts, and more.
- Precision CNC Milling – CNC milling of components allows for tolerances of up to +/-0.05mm while also maintaining crucial dimensions under +/-0.005mm. CNC milling is appropriate for short-run numbers of prototypes and pieces that are below 2.5″ OD.
- Precision CNC Turning – CNC turning makes accurate circular cuts into spinning materials using a single-point cutting tool. This automated method is perfect for producing circular or tubular forms as it offers excellent precision and a high level of reproducibility. The material is held in place and rotated by the CNC turning lathe as it is rapidly machined. CNC turning machines are better suited for short-run volumes of bigger items such as functional prototypes, bushing, shafts, fittings, manifolds, spacers, and other similar items.
